Introduction

Do you find yourself wondering, *Why do I keep feeling this way?* Perhaps you feel anxious, emotionally exhausted, disconnected from yourself or others, caught in painful relationship patterns, or constantly "on" while your nervous system never truly settles. Maybe your inner critic is louder than your self-compassion, or despite years of insight and coping strategies, you still feel stuck. At WISE Counseling, we believe your struggles make sense in the context of your story. Many symptoms that feel frustrating today were once adaptive ways of surviving difficult experiences. Rather than asking, "What's wrong with you?" we'll explore what happened, how your mind, brain, body, and nervous system learned to protect you, and what is now possible. I specialize in trauma-informed psychotherapy for adults and couples, integrating EMDR, Internal Family Systems (parts work), attachment science, polyvagal-informed somatic therapy, mindfulness, and experiential approaches to support deep, lasting change. {I refer to this as Integrative Neurosomatic Psychotherapy.} Whether you're navigating trauma, anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, relationship challenges, life transitions, grief, or simply a desire to understand yourself more fully, therapy becomes a collaborative process of helping you reconnect with your authentic Self. Together, we'll move beyond symptom management toward meaningful healing—cultivating greater emotional regulation, healthier relationships, self-trust, resilience, and a life that feels more grounded, connected, and aligned with who you truly are.
