Introduction

Hi, I’m Lateefa Shabazz, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founder of Brighter Spirits, PLLC. I provide trauma-informed psychotherapy for adolescents (ages 12 and up) and adults navigating anxiety, mood concerns, life transitions, and the impact of overwhelming or chronic stress. My approach is grounded, collaborative, and intentional. I believe healing happens when we slow things down enough to understand what the nervous system, emotions, and lived experience are communicating—without rushing to “fix” or pathologize. I work with clients who seek greater emotional regulation, clarity, and balance, particularly those who feel stuck between holding everything together and quietly feeling overwhelmed. I integrate evidence-based practices with a holistic lens that honors emotional, psychological, and spiritual dimensions of healing—always at a pace that feels respectful and safe. Therapy with me is a space to build capacity, reconnect with your inner steadiness, and move toward sustainable change. I offer secure telehealth services and welcome clients who are ready to engage in thoughtful, grounded work toward brighter emotional well-being.
