Some men arrive in therapy in obvious crisis. Others arrive looking completely fine, which is its own kind of exhausting. I work with men in Denver who are running on anxiety, burnout, and a harsh inner voice that never seems satisfied. You may be good at your job, reliable to the people around you, and quietly worn down by the effort it takes to keep all of that up. Slowing down feels restless or guilty, so you stay busy. The relief you find is real, and it never lasts long. I am a Certified DBT therapist, and DBT is where much of our work lives: concrete skills for handling stress, working with emotions instead of against them, and communicating without it costing you so much. When shame, trauma, or internal conflict is part of the picture, I bring in parts work and somatic therapy to go deeper than skills alone can reach. My style is warm, direct, and a little playful. This work gets heavy, and humor belongs in the room too. Expect honest feedback, frequent check-ins, and zero judgment. I see men at two Denver offices, City Park West and near Washington Park.
