Introduction

Laura Howell, LMHC believes that therapy is a courageous journey of self-discovery, growth, and healing. With over 20 years of experience, she specializes in helping adults and teens navigate life’s challenges, including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship struggles, chronic stress, and major life transitions. She fosters an inclusive and affirming therapeutic relationship and enjoys working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and gender identities. Laura offers a whole-person approach to wellness and growth, integrating traditional psychotherapies such as CBT, ACT, IFS, with holistic and innovative practices. Laura will help you access your inner strengths and develop new strategies. As an authorized meditation teacher and trained facilitator for ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP), she offers opportunities for mindfulness training, somatic and breath work, and KAP sessions both in-person and by telehealth video. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or seeking deeper personal growth, Laura creates a warm and supportive environment where healing and self-discovery unfold naturally. Laura's professional journey has taken her through community mental health centers, school systems, inpatient programs, and private practice. She holds an M.S. Degree in Psychology from Loyola University in Baltimore, MD. Outside of her therapy work, Laura finds renewal in nature, beekeeping and snorkeling, enjoying live music, and spending time with family—including furry companions.
