I believe that every person has an inner system made up of different “parts”—the anxious part, the tough inner critic, the numbing part, the part that tries to keep everything under control. These parts aren’t problems to fix—they’re trying to help, even when they feel overwhelming. In our work together, I can help you understand the root of your emotions and patterns, build a more compassionate relationship with yourself, feel less controlled by anxiety, fear, or self-doubt, and access a grounded, confident core within you. I specialize in working with client's struggling with life transitions, anxiety, work stress, burnout, relationships and dating, communication, parenting and postpartum struggles, cancer or chronic illness, caregiving, and medical trauma. I'm here to offer empathy, support, and guidance as we explore your problems and work together to find solutions. I take my cues from my clients, but maintain a focus on stated goals, and can help give structure to our sessions. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing virtually in New York and New Jersey. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis before going on to have a career in recruiting and finance. I eventually returned to school to earn my Masters in Social Work from Hunter College and completed my fellowship training at Memorial Sloan Kettering. I spent the past few years providing counseling services to people with cancer, their caregivers, and the recently bereaved through the non-profit CancerCare. My unique background and training enables me to offer personalized care that addresses a wide range of interpersonal and structural issues, from career path obstacles to long-term illness and grief. I currently offer individual counseling for adults, and I offer career coaching for individuals looking to advance or switch careers. I'm currently seeing client's virtually who are located in New York or New Jersey.
