Introduction

Lauren Carpenter, LMHC Lauren is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 10 years of experience providing therapy in community and clinical settings throughout Fort Wayne and Chicago. She works primarily with women and couples navigating anxiety, self-worth, identity, relationships, and the transitions that come with adulthood and motherhood/parenthood. Lauren is particularly passionate about working with individuals who have spent much of their lives being the capable one; the person who holds everything together, takes care of everyone else, and has difficulty slowing down or asking for help. Her work often centers around anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, hyper-independence, boundaries, burnout, and learning to build a healthier relationship with oneself and others. She also has a growing focus in perinatal and maternal mental health, supporting women through pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, family planning, fertility and infertility, and the emotional and identity shifts that can accompany becoming a parent. Lauren is currently pursuing her Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C) through Postpartum Support International. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in helping clients better understand themselves while developing practical tools for navigating anxiety, emotional overwhelm, relationships, and major life transitions. When Lauren isn’t counseling, you may find her spending time with her family, reading a mystery novel, baking a new cookie recipe, trying a new coffee shop, or thrifting one too many baskets. Lia Moore, LMHC Lia is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who works with adults, couples, families, and older adults. She has a particular interest in helping people navigate relationships, emotional challenges, grief and loss, and the transitions that come with different stages of life. With a warm and collaborative approach, Lia creates a space where clients can be open and honest while working toward meaningful change. Lia enjoys working with clients who want to better understand themselves and the relationships in their lives. She helps individuals work through anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, difficult emotions, and past experiences, while also supporting couples and families as they work through conflict, communication challenges, and changes in their relationships. She believes that feeling understood and learning to communicate openly can make a meaningful difference in how we connect with the people around us. Lia also has a special interest in grief and loss, identity, and major life transitions. She enjoys supporting clients through periods of change, whether that means adjusting to a new stage of life, navigating changes within a family or relationship, or working through an experience that has changed how they see themselves or their future. Lia brings curiosity, compassion, and a practical perspective to her work. She meets clients where they are and works alongside them to develop greater self-understanding, healthier ways of managing emotions, and stronger relationships. Lia offers individual Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to those who are interested. Please contact her directly for more information. When Lia isn’t counseling, she enjoys listening to podcasts and audiobooks, watching anime and cartoons, hosting board game nights with friends, spending time outdoors, and spending quality time with family.
