My practice is dedicated to working with postpartum mamas who are struggling with a NICU stay, birth trauma, and/or perinatal depression, anxiety, or PTSD. I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 15 years in the mental health field and also hold a doctorate in developmental psychology where I focused on parent-child attachment and trauma. I am also a mother and a proud NICU mama. My experience of being a mother in a world where maternal mental health is often not discussed lead me to this important work. In my work, I build a strong and caring relationship with my clients and my clinical approach is informed by CBT, mindfulness, attachment theory, and helping my clients learn how to manage distress. One of the important things that I can offer to a mother who is struggling is the reminder that she is not alone and there is a way to feel better. I am committed to providing compassionate, person-centered care that empowers individuals to foster meaningful and fulfilling lives. I know how challenging it can be to find a therapist you actually enjoy talking with and who feels effective.
