I’m Lauren Hansen, a licensed clinical mental health counselor with more than 18 years of experience supporting adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I bring warmth, authenticity, compassion, and gentle humor into the counseling relationship. I believe therapy should be a place where you can exhale, feel genuinely understood, and talk honestly about the parts of life that may feel painful, complicated, or difficult to explain. My practice is grounded in a trauma-informed, relational, and strengths-based approach. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, family concerns, life transitions, emotional overwhelm, and challenges with communication or boundaries. I also support individuals who are exploring questions of identity, purpose, faith, spiritual harm, or changing beliefs. When desired by the client, I am comfortable thoughtfully incorporating faith into therapy. I also welcome clients who prefer a secular approach. I draw from EMDR, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, cognitive behavioral approaches, clinical trauma treatment, and Gottman Method principles for couples. Rather than using the same formula with every client, I tailor therapy to your individual needs, experiences, values, and goals. I am licensed in Colorado and Utah.
