Beginning counseling can feel overwhelming, but you do not have to walk through it alone. My goal is to create a space where clients feel safe, supported, and truly heard. I strive to meet each client with warmth, compassion, and without judgment as they navigate healing, growth, and life’s challenges. I want clients to know they are not alone and that they are worthy of healing, transformation, and lasting change. I work with children over the age of 6, teens, adults, and couples. My clinical interest areas include, but are not limited to, depression, anxiety, trauma, emotional dysregulation, women’s issues, social skills deficits, ADHD, addiction, relational issues, grief and loss, life transitions, self-esteem, stress, parenting concerns, work/life balance, time management, career transitions, and biblical integration. My approach is grounded in a holistic view of each person as unique. I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach and tailor treatment to each client’s needs, goals, and personality. I utilize treatment modalities and theories including, but not limited to, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), existential therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), mindfulness, and elements of play and art therapy with children and adolescents. I can also offer a Christian perspective to clients who wish to integrate faith and spirituality into their healing journey. I am a Certified SYMBIS Facilitator and can help couples successfully navigate premarital and marital relationships, communication, and life’s challenges. I graduated in December 2024 with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (#A21155) in North Carolina and a National Certified Counselor (#1736769). In 2017, I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from William Peace University. I have a wide array of experience in the mental health field, having worked in private practices, outpatient treatment centers, community centers, and nonprofits. During my graduate program, I completed my clinical internship at Cornerstone Counseling, where I worked with clients of all ages, including children, teens, adults, and families, providing individual counseling and parent coaching. My undergraduate and graduate experiences include diverse roles such as private practice management, intervention services, neurohealth technician, research assistant, youth counselor, overseas medical mission worker, and counseling intern. This broad background has allowed me to work with individuals from various cultural and personal experiences across clinical, professional, and administrative settings. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and dog, volunteering in the community, and serving in my church’s children’s, music, and outreach ministries.
