Lauren is passionate about helping individuals navigate anxiety, life transitions, and the unique challenges faced by military-connected individuals and families. As a military spouse herself, she understands the impact that frequent moves, career transitions, and changing support systems can have on emotional well-being and identity. She believes counseling is most effective when clients feel genuinely understood and actively involved in the therapeutic process. Lauren strives to create a collaborative and culturally responsive space where clients can explore challenges with curiosity and without judgment, make sense of complex experiences, build on their strengths, and develop practical strategies for meaningful change. Lauren has a particular interest in the connection between mental, emotional, and physical well-being. She believes mental health is shaped not only by what happens in the therapy room, but also by the many factors that influence people's lives, including their relationships, environments, physical health, daily routines, and sense of connection and purpose. Her background in yoga has contributed to her appreciation for mindfulness and mind-body approaches as part of a broader understanding of mental health. Lauren is a second-year Clinical Mental Health Counseling master's student. Before entering the counseling profession, she worked as a journalist, editor, communication coach, and educator.
