Hi, I’m Lauren Brooks, LLMSW — a mental health therapist who’s passionate about helping people feel seen, supported, and empowered as they navigate anxiety, stress, identity, and life’s many transitions. I come from a family of mental health professionals, so I was introduced to the world of therapy early on. But it was really my own deep sense of empathy — and a strong desire to be there for people when life gets hard — that led me to social work. I started my career in child welfare, where I saw firsthand just how resilient people can be, even in the face of really tough circumstances. That experience shaped my trauma-sensitive, strengths-based approach to therapy — one rooted in trust, connection, and compassion. I work with clients of all ages and backgrounds, and I tailor therapy to meet each person’s unique needs and goals. I often support children, teens, and young adults through anxiety, peer pressure, identity development, self-esteem, and school or family stress. I also offer therapy for adults navigating life transitions, burnout, grief, or relationship challenges. In addition to individual therapy, I run Breathe Easy, a supportive group for teens coping with vaping, peer-pressure, and stress. I strive to make therapy a safe and inclusive space for everyone, and I’m especially committed to affirming and supporting LGBTQIA+ clients. Whether you're overwhelmed, stuck, or just trying to find your footing, I'm here to walk alongside you. Together, we’ll explore what’s going on beneath the surface, build meaningful coping tools, and help you move toward a stronger sense of self — at your own pace and in your own voice.
