OCTOBER 2025 UPDATE: Available openings for online and in-person sessions HOW I APPROACH THERAPY Welcome! I’m Lauren (she/her), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and psychotherapist based in Portland, OR. I’ve worked in the field of mental health since 2011 and have maintained a private practice since 2015. I value building genuine, trusting relationships with my clients and offer a warm, collaborative approach to therapy. My work is trauma-informed and grounded in the belief that you are the expert on your own experience. Because therapy is not “one-size-fits-all,” I integrate a range of approaches to support each person’s needs and preferences. CLIENTS SERVED I provide individual therapy for young adults (18+) and adults navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, and major life transitions. I also have advanced training and experience supporting clients through pregnancy loss, infertility, and perinatal trauma. My practice welcomes clients of all cultural backgrounds, gender identities, sexual orientations, and belief systems. I offer online sessions to residents of Oregon and New York and in-person sessions at my Southeast Portland office. MY TRAINING I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University in 2011 with a focus in clinical practice. I’ve completed additional training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, and Perinatal Mental Health. I also draw from psychodynamic psychotherapy, attachment theory, and mindfulness-based approaches to help clients deepen self-understanding and create lasting change. FINANCES & INSURANCE I am in-network with Moda, Regence (BCBS), and PacificSource. I also work with clients who pay out of pocket and can provide statements for those seeking out-of-network reimbursement through their insurance plans. ADDITIONAL SERVICES In addition to providing therapy, I am an approved clinical supervisor for CSWAs in Oregon and offer personal sessions for credit to Somatic Experiencing beginning and intermediate students. AVAILABILITY I currently offer sessions between 10am and 4pm—Mondays and Wednesdays in person, and Tuesdays and Thursdays online.
