I am proud of you for seeking support and empowerment through therapy, whether it’s for yourself or your child. My name is Lauren Tuszynski, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Work Supervisee who specializes in youth mental health therapy, ages 4 to 18. I received my Bachelor's degree in Social Work from California University of Pennsylvania and a Master's degree in Social Work from Widener University. I have experience working with youth and teens in foster or kinship homes, youth and teen mental health, and domestic violence. I strive to create an environment for children and teens to explore and express their emotions, develop positive coping skills, and build confidence. It can be overwhelming for a child to make sense of their emotions and regulate them or handle the stress and demands of their academic life. When working with young children, I meet them at their level through play therapy, which allows the child to express their emotions when they can’t quite put them into words yet. We can work through difficult past experiences to create a better future by developing positive coping skills. I often use various therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused, and Play Therapy. I offer in-person and telehealth sessions. If your child is looking for support and guidance, or someone who simply listens and cares, I am eager to help.
