Introduction

Hi, I’m Lauren Williams, Ed.S, LPC. I’ve been working as a licensed therapist for over six years, with more than a decade of experience in the mental health field. This work matters deeply to me because mental health is something that impacts all of us, and no one has to navigate life’s challenges alone. In our work together, you can expect a space grounded in genuine support, compassionate curiosity, and humor. I believe therapy doesn’t have to feel cold or clinical. It can be a place where you feel comfortable being fully yourself while also being challenged in meaningful ways. My approach is person-centered and affirming, and I integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients build clarity, flexibility, and self-trust. I tailor each session to your needs, because there is no one-size-fits-all path to healing. I am especially passionate about supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals, including transgender and gender diverse clients, and advocating for spaces where people feel safe, seen, and respected — particularly here in South Carolina. I am a member of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) and follow the Standards of Care, Version 8, to ensure ethical, affirming, and evidence-based support.
