LMFT, Spiritual Director Laurie Wevers
Specialties: Individual Therapy, Spiritual Direction, Groups, Consultation for Organizations, Religious Trauma,

Introduction

Trees have been my primary nurturing source. Whenever life got a little chaotic growing up, I’d pack a snack and head to my favorite willow tree in our yard. Beneath the willow tree I would rest, talk to the Divine, cry, read, explore, and wrestle out my questions. This is what I offer to you at Willow Tree: a place to rest, wrestle, cry, laugh, explore, and perhaps encounter the Divine (if you want to). I’m a Queer Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist committed to helping individuals heal from trauma and explore his/her/their spirituality. My work focuses on EMDR and Internal Family Systems for trauma care, healing from emotionally immature parents, and Spiritual Direction/Companioning for those deconstructing previously-held religious beliefs into a more wholistic spirituality. I practice a relational style of therapy that promotes safety, humor, and authenticity. *NEW: I’m offering non-religious spirituality groups and day retreats beginning in 2025!* Check with me to learn about any new groups/retreats I’m offering! I’m passionate about healing people from past traumas and from relationships/dogmas that no longer serve them; thus helping them discover the deeper parts of who they are! I’m also passionate about community and group work as a means to eliminate isolation and improve overall health. BIPOC ally and learning.
