If you're looking for the cross-legged in an armchair, nodding with a notepad therapist, I am not the one! No judgment, they do great work, it's just not my style. I give honest feedback and I love to share tips, tricks, ideas, and resources if you want them. I can't plop myself into just one box so let's call my approach "eclectic." Therapy is certainly not one-size-fits-all. That's why I tailor my approach to you and your unique needs. I take my time getting to know your strengths and then I help you amplify them to reach your goals using a variety of techniques from modalities like ACT, CBT, ERP, parts and somatic work. On a personal level, I'm a neurodivergent, down to earth, kind of crunchy, sarcastic and sassy mom to one human child and three fur children. I am endlessly educating myself on holistic and alternative healing practices. I enjoy overdoing it in my flower and vegetable garden every year, battling to keep my 30 something house plants alive through the winter, fudging recipes with whatever I have on hand, yoga, falling in and out of meditation practice, listening to podcasts, audiobooks, music, and exploring new places. I'm no stranger to therapy and encourage every therapist to seek their own (I also enjoy working with fellow providers). Establishing a sense of safety and trust in our therapeutic relationship is essential to your healing. In therapy, I make it known that I'm not your superior, I'm your equal. You are not alone on this journey. I am on my own journey, too and I am so grateful to have found this profession along the way. I love what I do, I care about my clients and it shows, they have had great results! The best compliment I can receive is a referral from a current or past client. I genuinely want to hear your story and see if I can help you meet your goals. If you think we'd be a good fit, contact me! I will let you know if I can meet your needs.
