Introduction

Congratulations on taking an important step to help yourself. First and foremost, I recognize that in order to help, I have to really get it... Deep listening & understanding must come first. I also bring many years of experience and specialized training. My special passions are helping those struggling with anxiety (including social anxiety), substance use, and long-term problems related to family history. I bring a rich and personal perspective to individuals in the LGBTQ communities, those dealing with repercussions of conservative religious upbringing, and southern transplants. Often used treatment modalities include CBT, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, and Internal Family Systems, all informed by an understanding of neurobiology and the impact of trauma -and most especially YOU. I look forward to meeting you to see if we might be a good fit.
