I enjoy working with LGBTQ+ people, both individually and couples. Therapy is a place to practice noticing the way your mind works; when you become aware of that, you have many more choices. I have extensive experience working with substance use disorders, trauma, and life changing events such as coming out, leaving high control religious settings, retirement, death, and major medical events. I live in Manhattan with my husband and 2 dogs. I am licensed in New York state as well as New Jersey. and have a limited number of sliding scale and Medicare appointments available. I prefer to work 2-3 times a week with someone, but understand that time and/or finances may not permit. We can talk about that in our consultation session (50 minutes), which is free. A consultation session is like a therapy date, where we both decide if the 'fit' between us is right. Before working in private practice, I was the assistant clinical director of an outpatient mental health clinic in the West Village, where I saw patients and supervised several clinicians. I currently offer in-person sessions 2 days a week, and telehealth sessions the other days. My office is wheelchair accessible.
