Introduction

I'm a psychotherapist and subject matter expert on stress, anxiety, depression, and posttraumatic stress disorder (childhood, adult, military sexual trauma, combat and non-combat military related trauma- and stressor-related disorders). I'm committed to helping clients/patients help themselves by learning and applying evidence-based strategies and skills to regain their lives. My work focuses on identifying and targeting insecure attachments, unhelpful/negative thinking and maladaptive behaviors that contribute to unhealthy stress, anxiety, depressive episodes and trauma symptoms. I believe in taking a patient-centered, collaborative approach. I'm also interested in helping Veterans navigated the VA disability claim process through consultation, evaluation, diagnosis, and NEXUS letter. I'm a graduate of the University of Southern California Suzann Dworak-Peck School of Social Work, Master of Social Work, Orange County Academic Center in Irvine, CA, and the University Park Campus in Los Angeles, CA. I participated in the Military and Veterans Programs at the Military Academic Center in San Diego, CA. I also a graduate from Troy University with a Master of Science; Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor of Science (Magna Cum Laude); and Arizona Western College with an Associate of Science (Academic Distinction). I have over a decade of experience and worked for the Veterans Health Administration, Department of Defense, State and Local Government, Public Health, For Profit, and Private Practice as a psychotherapist, clinical supervisor, and Program Director.
