Leema has a compassionate and empathetic personality. She has provided therapeutic services to children, adolescents, adults, individuals, and couples at public schools and non-profit agency settings for the past year and a half. She holds a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from California Southern University and is a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist through the Board of Behavioral Health Sciences. Leema employs therapeutic approaches that include Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Play Therapy, and Art Therapy, with an emphasis on empathy, positive reinforcement, and therapeutic alliance as the primary focus throughout the healing process. She has collaborated with parents, academic counselors, high school principals, and high school administrators to achieve the social and behavioral goals of children and adolescents. As a bilingual, she has provided individual therapy to Punjabi-speaking individuals. She collaborates with individuals to create a safe space that fosters autonomy, respect, and trust. Leema collaborates with individuals to develop problem-solving and emotional regulation skills, helping them reconstruct narratives for personal growth and self-improvement. She explores new skills and techniques that may benefit her clients in achieving their therapeutic goals and collaborates with them to meet their current needs.
