Introduction

Change is part of life — but that doesn’t mean you or your family have to move through it alone. I'm glad you're here. I’m Leina Lunghi, a Licensed Professional Counselor and the Founder of Lunghi Counseling Group in McLean, Virginia. I’m also a Navy veteran, frequent mover, and natural encourager — experiences that shape my understanding of transition, resilience, and the need for steady support. I support children, teens, adults, and families navigating divorce and co-parenting, adoption journeys, school transitions, anxiety, friendship challenges, military-connected family life, parenting concerns, and new chapters of growth. My clinical style is warm, practical, and collaborative. I draw from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, solution-focused counseling, narrative therapy, mindfulness, and strengths-based work to help clients better understand their experiences, build useful coping tools, and move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and resilience. At the heart of my work is a simple belief: healing begins with connection.
