Introduction

Hi, I’m Leslie Gil, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and founder of The DBT Collective. For more than 13 years, I’ve specialized in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), working with adolescents and adults who feel overwhelmed by emotions, stuck in difficult patterns, or ready to make meaningful change. I previously served as the Director of Adult and Adolescent DBT Programs and as a Clinical Director. My style is warm, collaborative, and practical. Therapy with me is not only about understanding what is happening, but learning what to do differently. I help clients build concrete skills to manage emotions, communicate more effectively, navigate relationships, set boundaries, and handle difficult moments with greater confidence. In addition to comprehensive DBT, I provide individual therapy, trauma-focused treatment, parent coaching, couples therapy, and DBT skills training. I also have advanced training in DBT Prolonged Exposure (DBT-PE) for trauma and PTSD and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD. My goal is to create a space where you feel understood while also helping you build practical skills that extend well beyond therapy.
