Lexie Montalvo is a passionate mental health counselor based in NYC. Motivated to become a social justice warrior, Lexie attended John Jay College of Criminal Justice, where she earned both a BA and MA in Forensic Psychology in 2021. She returned to John Jay to complete another Master's degree in Forensic Mental Health Counseling in 2024. Lexie has vast experience working with the adult population, including individuals with intellectual, developmental, or other neurocognitive disorders; those involved in the criminal justice system; and people struggling with anxiety, depression, and trauma. She uses her expertise within the ABA behavioral health field, combined with trauma-focused CBT, multicultural competency, art therapy, and mindfulness-based strategies to support clients in building better coping mechanisms, identifying areas of strength and improvement, and increasing feelings of confidence and resilience.
