I specialize in working with couples and women experiencing anxiety, chronic stress, burnout and health-related challenges. My approach is active and practical. While I believe in listening and creating a safe space, I also provide clear, effective tools you can use in your daily life. Many people come to therapy feeling frustrated because they’ve been able to “vent,” but haven’t learned how to create change. I focus on helping clients understand how our brain works, how it affects our body and how to use that knowledge to our advantage. Therapy is about becoming stronger and healthier (mentally and physically), choosing healthier responses and behaviors, and recognizing — rather than engaging in — patterns of dysfunction. We build core coping skills such as setting healthy boundaries, improving self-care, and responding more effectively to stress. While some circumstances are outside of our control, we work on identifying what can be changed and learning how to accept what cannot. I am looking forward to working with you!
