Many people I work with carry pain that doesn't have a clear story attached to it — emotional needs that went unmet, an interior life that went largely unwitnessed, and years of learning to function well while something quieter remained unaddressed. Others come with trauma that has weight and name, still living in the body long after it passed. In both, I'm interested in the same thing: the patterns that form beneath the surface of a person's history. I pay close attention to what emerges between us, because these moments often hold something older than what's being spoken about directly. This work is slow. But it holds. I work in English and Mandarin, and am currently accepting new clients in New York under supervision.
