Grieving your healthy self and navigating your new normal can be difficult, potentially causing or exacerbating feelings of anxiety, depression, and trauma. Whether you are newly diagnosed or have been living with ICI for a long time, it's something that is a part of life, but doesn't need to be your whole life or to define you. I know because I also live with an invisible chronic illness. I get it because I got it. My work combines a range of methodologies, all tailored through the lens of invisible chronic illness. My intuition, humor, empathy, and honesty about my own invisible chronic illness create an emotional shorthand in our sessions, quickly building a sense of mutual respect and safety.
