I began my graduate school internship in 2020 right at the start of COVID 19. I worked in a small private practice working with predominately college students and young adult trying to adjust to life changes with the isolation of a worldwide pandemic. As a professional, my demographics shifted as I began working as a clinician in Foster Care. I was trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) a model specifically for kids to support with the processing of trauma and the reduction of trauma symptoms. I was also trained in Family Centered Treatment (FCT) to support with the stability of reunification or adoption. Within my work with teens and caregivers outside of trauma, I work with building self-confidence, autonomy and identity formation.
