I'm glad you're here! I am a Salt Lake City-based therapist and see clients in-person. I am also licensed to practice in Utah, Texas, and California, so virtual session are also an option, too. I specialize in relationships and provide couples therapy. I also work with individuals who seek support with anxiety, ADHD, complex trauma, and life-transitions (parenting, college-bound, military-to-civilian, etc). I believe that therapy should be a stigma-free, safe space where you are able to show up authentically AND where you're able to learn new tools and strategies to use outside of sessions. Some of the common therapy models I use are trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy, as well as somatic and mindfulness-based techniques. Which evidenced-based modalities I utilize are tailored to what's bringing you to therapy and what you're hoping to get out of it. I work with clients of all ages and backgrounds but most often my clients are Millennials (or Gen-Z) who already believe in the benefits of therapy, even if they're nervous to start therapy themselves. My clients are often feeling: overwhelmed, anxious, like there's a million tabs open in their brain, or like life is really life-ing and their relationships are suffering. They are looking for some professional support to navigate through this with their long-term wellbeing in mind, not just white knuckle-ing their way through their feelings + day-to-day life anymore. Many couples also come to therapy to proactively strengthen their relationship with themselves, their partner, and/or their families. Therapy is a safe, stigma-free space. I believe that while tears are pretty common in therapy, laughing shouldn't be uncommon either. Therapy might leave you with a vulnerability hang-over sometimes, but it should also feel like a breath of fresh air, and a weight lifting off your shoulders, too! Let's talk therapy goals: You are the expert here! It's your life, these are your therapy sessions, so you set the goals and I bring the evidence-based strategies and years of experience to come alongside you as we work towards your goals together. I also want to make sure I provide you with new tools and strategies that you can use to work towards your goals outside of sessions, too! My goal is to help you reach your therapy goals and work myself out of a job - whether that's in a few sessions, months, or years based on what you need out of therapy.
