Introduction

My name is Linda Millican and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Professional Counselor, and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. I earned a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University in Virginia. My undergraduate work includes a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Business Education from Concordia College in Minnesota, and a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies from Austin Theological Seminary in Texas. I work with adolescents, adults, couples and families who are experiencing trauma, infidelity, substance abuse/addictions, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). I am trained in Gottman Couples Therapy and Emotion Focused Couples Therapy. I have worked in psychiatric hospitals, private practice, and at Fort Hood serving individuals diagnosed with PTSD after combat deployments. I am certified as an Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist; in addition to being certified as a Brain Health Professional with Amen Clinic. I approach therapy from a biological, psychological, social and spiritual perspective. I have been married to my husband over 40 years; have three adult children; and five grandchildren.
