Introduction

Hi! My name is Lindsay and I am so glad you are here. You are the expert on your own life. You carry a unique story, and as a result, you have unique needs. I am curious about what you have experienced, how you make sense of your world, and how your unique nervous system operates. I view my role as a supportive guide who meets you where you are, adapting our work to fit your lived experience. Through warmth, humor, and genuine empathy, I aim to create a low-demand space where you can drop the mask, stop performing, and be fully yourself. You are already whole, but you may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from the inner knowledge and skills you already possess. Together, we will work collaboratively toward clarity, healing, and sustainable growth. My Approach While my work is integrative, I conceptualize my clinical practice through narrative, postmodern, psychodynamic, and acceptance-based frameworks. I pay close attention to the cultural, environmental, and relational contexts that shape who you are. Rather than viewing you as "broken" or needing to be fixed, I work with you to separate the person from the problem, empowering you to re-author a preferred story rooted in hope, agency, and your core values. We will also explore how your past experiences, early relationships, and family-of-origin dynamics inform current relational patterns, using our therapeutic relationship as a safe space to cultivate new understanding, deeper connection, and real-time healing. In practice, I blend evidence-based modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), mindfulness, and low-demand, declarative strategies. I hold a strong belief in the mind-body connection; taking care of our mental health requires honoring our physical regulation and sensory needs. In the words of Jack Kornfield, “If your compassion does not include yourself, it is incomplete.” My goal is to help you build a kinder, more compassionate relationship with yourself - one that honors your strengths, respects your capacity, and supports your whole being. Background & Clinical Focus My practice focuses on supporting emerging adults, mothers, and neurodivergent individuals through major life transitions, with a specialized focus on ADHD, executive functioning, and neuroaffirming care. As a clinician with lived experience as a late-diagnosed neurodivergent adult and mother, I bring both personal understanding and clinical expertise to my work. I am deeply passionate about supporting women and moms navigating late-identified ADHD as they manage the complex cognitive and emotional demands of parenthood. My broader clinical interests include emerging adult development, family-of-origin dynamics, identity development, mood disorders, cancer and chronic illness, psychological assessment, the mind-body connection, and suicide prevention. Prior to founding Linden Psychotherapy and Wellness LLC, I worked in clinical leadership and higher education experience. I grew up in the Seacoast region of New Hampshire and settled in Vermont in 2013 after living in various parts of the country. I previously served as the Associate Director of Counseling for Clinical Operations at Middlebury College, worked as a CARE Team Outreach Coordinator in the Dean of Students office at the University of Vermont, and trained across multiple university counseling centers, including an APA-accredited predoctoral internship at Penn State University. Prior to my doctoral training, I worked in residential life and academic support at UNH and USC, and completed specialized training in forensic psychological assessment.
