Introduction

I’m Lindsay MacMaster PsyD, a licensed Clinical Psychologist in the San Diego area. When you work with me, I create a setting that is warm and compassionate, a space that allows you to best connect with what is bothering you. Counseling helps you learn how to become your best self. Your therapist can support you as you lean into life’s most difficult challenges rather than shy away from them. Together, I can guide you and your family towards accomplishing your goals of well-being, healing from the past, and strengthening the bonds in your relationships. Children with a supportive space to explore their emotions are able to take the lead in problem-solving and experience positive self-esteem. Adults with awareness and healthy coping skills are better able to approach parenting challenges and have successful relationships. With a specialty in play therapy for children, individual therapy, family therapy, and connective parenting approaches, I make sure your counseling session is grounded in scientific research but is still tailored to your needs and goals. Your child will learn how to communicate positively and how to best settle conflicts. And, I’ll fully support you in navigating your role in your child’s growth. Because what I do changes lives – I support, empower, and inspire you to thrive! Ready to take your next steps towards thriving? You can contact me by phone or email to set up a free 15-minute phone consultation. I am currently on the Aetna, Optum, and United Health Care insurance panels, otherwise sessions are self-pay and I would be considered an out of network provider. I can provide a superbill for you if you want to see if your insurance can reimburse a portion.
