Introduction

Lindsey is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA License #A20671) in North Carolina as well as a National Certified Counselor (NCC Certification #1735054). She received two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and Spanish Language and Literature in 2020 followed by a Master of Arts in Counseling in 2024. Currently, Lindsey is actively pursuing credentialing as a Registered Play Therapist (RPT). At the heart of Lindsey's work is a deep belief in the inherent worth, dignity, and potential of every person. She approaches therapy with the understanding that healing begins in spaces where people are truly seen, witnessed, heard, and valued. Her practice is rooted in a person-centered philosophy that honors each individual's unique story, inner wisdom, and capacity for growth. She takes a collaborative, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approach informed by social justice, feminist, intersectional, and systemic principles. Lindsey's areas of focus include religious trauma/spiritual abuse, identity exploration, life transitions, women’s issues, complex trauma, and relationship dynamics/conflict. She tailors her therapeutic approach to each client’s individual needs and goals, integrating elements of Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). When working with children, Lindsey uses a Child-centered Play Therapy (CCPT) approach, creating a safe and supportive environment through which children can fully express themselves through play—their natural language. She respects and trusts in each child’s inner ability to grow and heal, and honors their pace, choices, and unique ways of making sense of the world. Outside of the counseling room, Lindsey enjoys spending time with family, entertaining her two cats, playing board games, building lego, bird-watching, reading a good book, doing something crafty, or grabbing a cup of coffee with friends. Lindsey recognizes the courage it takes to begin counseling and would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey.
