Introduction

I foster a secure, non-judgmental environment in my therapy practice, aimed at assisting individuals in managing mental health symptoms, healing from trauma, and cultivating resilience. I possess a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and hold licenses in Minnesota, Colorado, and Utah. [Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MN-3833); & Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counseling (MN-303754)] Prior to establishing Wildflower Counseling, I worked with youth in school-linked mental health services in Hennepin County, Minnesota, and supported individuals/families struggling with substance abuse disorders in various settings. Additionally, I provided supervision and was part of a crisis stabilization team at a non-profit facility. I firmly believe that every individual possesses the capacity for growth, no matter their present or past circumstances. Just like wildflowers, which can thrive in any environment, people have the resilience to flourish despite their conditions or experiences. With over a decade of practical experience, I focus on various approaches to treating trauma in children, teens, and adults. My expertise extends to high-conflict families, including those dealing with addiction, separation, and involvement with child protection services, as well as domestic violence situations. My preferred therapeutic models encompass EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Crisis Stabilization, Psychological First Aid, Secondary Trauma Support Interventions, CAMS for Suicide Prevention, AFFIRM for LGBTQIA+, IFS (Internal Family Systems), and techniques from Experiential, Narrative, Systemic, CBT, DBT, Art, Music, and Play Therapies.
