I'm a therapist and social worker who believes that meaningful change happens when you feel seen, safe, and supported to show up as your full self. I came to this work through social work, where I learned how transformative it is when someone truly sees you—not just your symptoms or struggles, but you. I saw how much gets in the way of that: systems that don't care, labels that flatten, expectations that suffocate. Becoming a therapist felt like the most honest way I could show up—sitting with people as they make sense of themselves, name what's been hard to say, and figure out who they want to become. who I work with I work with teens (16+), young adults, and adults in North Carolina who are navigating stress, identity shifts, transitions, or patterns that feel hard to break. Many of my clients are dealing with anxiety that won't settle, relationship patterns that keep repeating, or a sense that they're not quite sure who they are or who they're becoming. Others have experienced trauma and are noticing how it shows up in their daily lives. my approach Sessions are collaborative, grounded, and tailored to you. I don't follow a rigid method or script—we work with what actually fits. I draw from multiple therapeutic approaches (cognitive-behavioral, somatic, relational, trauma-focused including EMDR) and pull from what's helpful in the moment. I'm committed to creating a space that's anti-ableist, antiracist, and LGBTQ+ affirming—where all identities, neurotypes, and lived experiences are respected and valued. My social work lens means I pay attention to both individual patterns and the systems that shape them. what to expect You don't have to come in with everything figured out. Most people walk in without the words for what they're feeling yet—that's part of the work. We'll explore what's beneath the surface, slow down, and build tools that actually translate to your daily life. You don't have to fix yourself to be here. You just have to be willing to show up and be honest. Some sessions feel like deep, transformative work. Others feel like catching your breath and making sense of the week. Both matter. Both are part of the process. If you're curious about working together, I'd love to start with a free 15-minute consultation to see if we're a good fit.
