Linzay Manuel, M.S. (she/her) is a compassionate and dedicated Counselor at Konick and Associates. She earned her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from Benedictine University and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Communication from the University of South Africa. Linzay brings over a decade of experience working with children ages 3 and up, adolescents, families, and neurodivergent individuals and couples across the lifespan in a variety of therapeutic and educational settings. Linzay’s professional background includes roles as a Registered Behavior Technician, paraprofessional, and childcare provider, giving her a strong foundation in supporting both neurotypical and neurodivergent clients. She has extensive experience working with individuals on the Autism Spectrum, those with ADHD, and clients navigating emotional or behavioral challenges. Her work is grounded in trauma-informed care and integrates attachment theory as it relates to trauma, helping clients better understand how early experiences shape emotional regulation, relationships, and patterns of behavior. Her clinical approach incorporates evidence-based modalities including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and play therapy, allowing her to tailor treatment to each client’s developmental stage and unique needs. Linzay is skilled in behavior intervention planning, verbal de-escalation, crisis intervention, and teaching practical coping strategies to support emotional regulation and resilience. Linzay is passionate about creating a safe, affirming, and inclusive therapeutic space. She provides LGBTQ+-affirming support and enjoys working with neurodivergent couples, helping partners strengthen communication, deepen understanding, and build more secure, connected relationships. Taking a collaborative, client-centered approach, Linzay emphasizes trust, compassion, and open communication with both clients and families. Having completed her internship at Konick and Associates, her warm, intuitive, and organized style allows her to support meaningful growth while honoring each individual’s identity, strengths, and lived experience.
