Hi, my name is Lisa, I believe healing begins with feeling seen, heard, and understood. As a bilingual (English/Spanish) mental health clinician, I am committed to creating a warm, compassionate, and culturally responsive space where clients of all ages feel safe to explore life's challenges and discover their strengths. With nearly 20 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, families, and diverse communities, I bring a wealth of knowledge from educational and community-based settings. I currently serve as a bilingual school counselor while completing advanced clinical training in Mental Health Counseling through Alfred University's Certificate of Advanced Study (CAS) program, further expanding my expertise in assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment. I work with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship concerns, emotional overwhelm, stress, trauma, self-esteem challenges, and difficulties with emotional regulation. Whether you are navigating a major life change, struggling with overwhelming emotions, or seeking personal growth, I strive to provide individualized care that honors your unique experiences, values, and goals. My therapeutic approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and tailored to each client's needs. I integrate evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness-based interventions, and trauma-informed care, to help clients develop practical coping skills, increase self-awareness, build resilience, and foster lasting emotional well-being. I have extensive experience addressing behavioral concerns, family dynamics, academic and workplace stress, cultural adjustment, and social-emotional development. I am also trained in crisis intervention and suicide risk assessment using the Columbia-Suicide Severity Rating Scale (C-SSRS), allowing me to provide thoughtful and compassionate support during difficult moments. As a bilingual clinician, I am passionate about increasing access to quality mental health care for Spanish-speaking individuals and families while ensuring that every client receives culturally affirming and respectful treatment. I believe healing occurs through authentic connection, trust, and collaboration, and I strive to create an environment where clients feel empowered to share their stories without fear of judgment. At Aspire to Wellness Behavioral Health, we believe every individual possesses the capacity for growth, healing, and resilience. My goal is to walk alongside you on your journey, helping you strengthen your coping skills, deepen your self-understanding, and create meaningful, lasting change. I offer flexible scheduling, including evening and weekend appointments, to accommodate the needs of busy individuals, families, and working professionals. Whether you are seeking support for yourself, your child, your adolescent, or your family, I look forward to partnering with you on your path toward healing and wellness.
