"Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it." Brené Brown My clients are the ones who always hold it together—but lately, it’s taking more effort than anyone knows. Inside you feel overwhelmed, numb, or stuck. You’ve survived a lot—trauma, burnout, emotional neglect—and now you’re ready for real change. I work with clients who are insightful yet exhausted, high-functioning but disconnected. Together we’ll gently rewire old patterns, regulate your nervous system, and help you reclaim clarity, self-trust, and peace. I specialize in working with adults navigating the lasting effects of trauma, emotional neglect, and chronic stress. Many of my clients appear high-functioning but quietly struggle with anxiety, burnout, and self-doubt. My approach blends neuroscience, somatic awareness, and trauma-informed care to support nervous system regulation and deep emotional healing. I integrate EMDR, parts work, and mindfulness-based interventions with a compassionate, structured approach that honors each client’s pace. Whether you feel stuck in survival mode, disconnected from your purpose, or overwhelmed by the weight of past experiences, I offer a safe, grounded space to explore and heal. I also draw from lifestyle interventions—including nutrition and mind-body practices—when clinically appropriate, supporting whole-person wellness. I believe healing is a holistic process that involves the mind, body, and nervous system. Trauma and chronic stress reshape how we experience safety, connection, and self-worth—therapy can help restore those foundations. I view each client as inherently resourceful and capable of change when provided with the right support. My work is grounded in the belief that healing requires both compassion and structure. I value transparency, collaboration, and the therapeutic relationship as core to meaningful growth. I also believe that integrating neuroscience, attachment theory, and lifestyle awareness creates lasting impact. My goal is to offer a space where clients feel seen, regulated, and empowered to reclaim the parts of themselves that have long been in survival mode. Healing isn’t linear, but it is possible—with the right tools, support, and pacing, people can reconnect with who they are and who they’re becoming. The techniques I use integrate cognitive behavioral therapy with: * trauma informed approaches * attachment based science * emotionally focused therapy * mindfulness approaches * neuroscience based practices I enjoy supporting individuals, couples, and teens on their journey to a more meaningful and healthy life. I also have a passion for supporting veterans and family members in the military community as I am a spouse of a retired Marine and know first hand some of the challenges that are unique to our culture. You don’t have to navigate this journey alone. I’m here to support you, every step of the way. If you’re ready to begin, let’s take that first step together. ~ Lisa _____ Lisa is under the supervision of Dr. Smith.
