Introduction

Hi! I'm Lisa Srok (she/her); I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the state of Maryland and a Registered Provisional Art Therapist (ATR-P) with the Art Therapy Credentials Board (ATCB). I currently have openings for individual therapy sessions both in-person and virtual. I also offer walk and talk sessions and outdoor art therapy at Druid Hill Park in Baltimore City, and in Northern Baltimore County on the NCR Trail in Sparks or Monkton. As a mental health care provider, art therapist, and visual artist, my work is rooted in embracing opportunities for reflection, exploring new perspectives, and uncovering valuable insight. I help clients navigate overwhelming life circumstances, struggling with (or recovering from) addiction/alcoholism, healing from trauma, managing bipolar disorder, and/or exploring identity. Since becoming sober myself 7+ years ago, I've been struck by how impacted so many of us are by addiction within our families and friend groups; I also support clients whose lives are touched by addiction even if they themselves are not afflicted. I have experience supporting individuals across gender and sexuality spectrums, including members of LGBTQIA+ communities and their allied supporters. As a compassionate, creative, neurodivergent art therapist I believe that all humans deserve access to culturally competent care, and am committed to honoring the intersectionality of identity as I work to provide gender-affirming, decolonial, trauma-informed care. My approach to therapy is based on a psychodynamic, humanistic framework, and informed by the integrative belief that wellness encompasses all parts of self–mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical. I believe in the healing qualities of meaningful connections, creative expression, and experiencing nature. I use person-centered approaches with clients who are feeling isolated, seeking relief from oppressive narratives, battling anxiety or depression, and who want to reclaim and redefine their lives. I help clients understand their needs, recognize their strengths, learn coping skills for emotional regulation, embrace acceptance, and unlearn the habits that keep them feeling stuck.
