ABOUT ME: Hello, I’m Elizabeth Cervantes, though I go by “Liz.” I am a Licensed Psychological Associate at The Vine Counseling and Psychological Services, supervised by Dr. Christine Duong-Perez. For over a decade, I’ve worked across clinical, forensic, criminal justice, and nonprofit settings, building my career on resilience, service, and helping others heal. My family and I have proudly called Temecula Valley home for the past 14 years. I hold a duel AS degree in Human Services and Criminal Justice, a BS and MS in Psychology, and I am completing my Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) for Clinical Psychology at California Southern University. My early career focused on forensic psychology, supporting defendants in court evaluations, caring for individuals in high-level crisis facilities, and rescuing and rehabilitating hundreds of human trafficking survivors across Riverside County. As a recognized Human Trafficking Specialist, I’ve presented at national conferences, trained professionals, and served on county task forces. In 2017, I was honored with the Family and Child Advocate of the Year Award by Hope Collaborative of Riverside County. In private practice, I work with children, teens, and adults facing trauma, mood disorders, and life challenges. With adults, I provide a supportive space to process stress, grief, and relationships while fostering healthier patterns and personal growth. With children and teens, I create a fun, engaging, and safe environment that helps even reluctant clients discover the value of therapy. My approach blends traditional talk therapy with creative techniques, making sessions effective, approachable, and tailored to each client. Outside of work, I am a proud mother of three who, alongside my supportive husband, raised three competitive softball and baseball athletes, two adult children in college and one high schooler attending TVUSD. As both a clinician and a parent, I understand the importance of creating spaces where people of all ages feel seen, heard, and supported. My philosophy is simple: healing begins with authentic human connection. I aim to walk alongside my clients with compassion, insight, and genuine care as they move toward resilience, empowerment, and lasting change.
