I provide telehealth therapy exclusively for clients located in Iowa. I bring a broad perspective to the counseling space, focusing on skill-building to manage anxiety; and connection to values to improve wellbeing. I work collaboratively with clients to explore the ways grief and past experiences shape their story, gently process their pain, and help them build the resilience and trust needed to move toward peace and connection. My background includes 15 years of executive leadership in the business and non-profit community and 20 years as a mediator. As a leader in the non-profit space I helped build and grow the mental health system in Iowa, especially access for children and families living in rural communities. As a mediator, I led discussion involving youth offenders, victims of crime, and families involved in the child welfare system. I have centered my work on healing and connection - helping communities and individuals build resilience, and hope. As a counselor I have experience working with young adults navigating the transitions from school & family to jobs and relationship; executives contemplating retirement; teens struggling with pressures from parents and friends; families struggling with the loss of a loved one; and retirees balancing changes in life. I have an MBA from the Tippie School of Business at University of Iowa and a Master's in Clinical Counseling from Buena Vista University in Storm Lake. I've served as a volunteer in my community - especially with organizations focused on kids, nature, or music.
