Do you find yourself holding everything together on the outside while feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or disconnected underneath? You may be navigating grief, panic, unresolved trauma, or challenges in your relationship that feel hard to fully name or shift. I work with individuals and couples experiencing grief, trauma, panic symptoms, and difficulties with intimacy and connection. Many of my clients are high-functioning, thoughtful people who feel stuck in patterns of anxiety, emotional distance, or relational stress—even when things look “fine” externally. In our work together, we go beyond symptom management to understand the deeper emotional patterns shaping how you relate to yourself and others. My approach is warm, direct, and collaborative, with a focus on helping you feel more grounded, emotionally clear, and connected in your relationships. I also offer sex-positive, kink-affirming therapy and work with individuals and couples exploring intimacy, sexual concerns, BDSM, and nontraditional relationship dynamics. I provide a nonjudgmental space to explore desire, boundaries, communication, and shame in a thoughtful and respectful way. For couples, I support partners in improving communication, resolving conflict, and rebuilding emotional and physical intimacy in a way that feels sustainable and authentic. Before becoming a therapist, I worked in international law and spent years in humanitarian and crisis settings across multiple countries, including high-conflict regions. This informs my understanding of trauma, displacement, and the psychological impact of instability, loss, and cultural transition. I offer therapy in English, Arabic and German. I am licensed in both New York and New Jersey, allowing me to offer in-person therapy in Manhattan as well as secure telehealth sessions for clients in both states. Starting therapy can feel like a significant step, especially if you are used to managing things on your own. If you are looking for a space to slow down, process what is happening, and create meaningful change, I invite you to reach out.
