Introduction

Hi there, I'm Lourdes I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with nearly a decade of experience in mental health. I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Azusa Pacific University. My clinical work integrates evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-Based practices, supporting clients through depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship challenges. My therapeutic approach is grounded in mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral, and person-centered frameworks. I believe that healing happens through awareness, empathy, and the courage to explore our inner world. Together, we work to understand thought patterns, emotional responses, and relationship dynamics so that meaningful change can take root. I bring authenticity, warmth, and honesty to every session—balancing compassion with thoughtful guidance to help clients gain insight while feeling deeply supported. In our work, you can expect a safe, collaborative environment where trust, open communication, and gentle challenge foster growth at your own pace. I specialize in working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, grief, self-esteem concerns, and stress management. I’m particularly passionate about helping clients reconnect with their sense of peace and purpose through mindfulness and self-discovery. I primarily work with young adults through midlife (ages 18–60), supporting individuals, couples, and families as they move through the complexities of growth and change. My goal is for each client to leave therapy with greater clarity, emotional balance, and self-confidence—feeling more grounded, empowered, and capable of meeting life’s challenges with calm and compassion. My journey into therapy began with a deep desire to help people feel truly seen, heard, and valued. I’ve always been drawn to the ways we heal and grow through connection, and I believe therapy offers a sacred space for that transformation to unfold. For me, this work isn’t just about addressing problems—it’s about walking alongside people as they rediscover their strength, hope, and sense of self. Over the past decade, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals and families from many different backgrounds. Those experiences have shaped my belief that healing happens when empathy meets evidence-based care—when compassion is paired with practical tools for change. Growth takes both connection and courage, and I believe every person holds the capacity to create a more grounded, authentic, and fulfilling life. My goal in therapy is to help clients cultivate deeper self-awareness, emotional healing, and authentic connection—both within themselves and in their relationships. Together, we work to release old patterns that no longer serve them and develop new ways of thinking, communicating, and coping. I strive to equip each person with lifelong tools for resilience, mindfulness, and self-compassion, so they can move through life’s challenges with greater ease and confidence. Above all, I hope my clients leave each session feeling seen, supported, and empowered—with a renewed sense of balance, clarity, and purpose, and the belief that meaningful change is truly possible. “Awareness is the greatest agent for change.” — Eckhart Tolle
