Introduction

You’re used to holding it all together. You’re capable, independent, and often the person others turn to. But underneath that, you may feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or unsure of how to slow down. You overthink conversations, struggle to say no, take responsibility for other people’s feelings, or find yourself repeating relationship patterns you thought you had already worked through. Maybe you understand why you do these things. You know where some of your patterns come from, but knowing isn’t always enough to change how you respond in the moment. You want to feel more grounded, trust yourself, honor your needs, and build relationships where you don’t have to abandon yourself to keep the peace. Hi, I’m Lucy Romo, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and trauma therapist. I work with adults navigating unresolved trauma, family of origin wounds, emotional overwhelm, and relationship struggles. My work centers on helping you understand the patterns that keep you stuck and creating space for something different. I believe healing involves more than simply understanding what happened to you. It’s also about developing a safer relationship with your body, making sense of your emotions, and learning that you can respond to life and relationships in ways that feel more aligned with who you are. My approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma informed. I integrate EMDR, attachment based work, and IFS and somatic informed approaches to help you explore the experiences and patterns beneath the surface. We’ll work at a pace that feels manageable while building self awareness, emotional regulation, and the ability to set boundaries and communicate your needs. You don’t have to figure everything out before you begin. You don’t have to be in crisis, and you don’t have to do this alone. Therapy can be a space where you feel seen, understood, and supported as you learn to take up more space in your own life. I’m licensed to provide virtual therapy to clients in California, Nevada, and Texas. If you’re ready to explore what’s keeping you stuck and what it might look like to feel more like yourself, I’d love to connect.
