Introduction

Luminita is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with experience in working with depression, anxiety, and life transition issues (e.g., “empty nest,” divorce, retirement, or loss of a loved one). She comes from a humanistic-existential philosophical angle with psychodynamic influences that reach deep into the nexus of human needs and the struggle to understand or accept our darker shadows. Luminita shares the belief that most people don’t come to therapy simply to relieve their symptoms or learn skills to better navigate their lives. She believes that at our core we all yearn for connection and a true sense of meaning, and symptoms are just a side effect of not having those human needs met.
