Hi! I’m Lynn Otto, a licensed professional counselor in Newberg, Oregon, offering telehealth and walk & talk therapy (in-person appointments coming in 2026). In these unsteady times, I specialize in helping adults navigate loss, major life changes, and moments when the ground feels like it has shifted beneath them. I work with people struggling with grief, existential questions, religious trauma, eco-anxiety, and relationships impacted by chronic illness or ADHD. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in trauma-informed counseling. Many of my clients come to me when they are questioning long-held beliefs, facing a future that no longer looks the way they expected, or feeling disconnected from their own identity. I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and a few other modalities to help you process what has happened, reconnect with your sense of self, and move toward a life that feels meaningful, grounded, and uniquely your own. My life, like yours, has had difficult moments and challenges. I’ve learned that this is actually a pretty normal part of being a human being. But I like my life, and I like my work as a counselor, because it means spending meaningful time with other human beings who are working through difficult moments and challenges toward a satisfying life, which I think is super cool. Some of the other activities that bring me satisfaction are outdoor stuff like hiking and camping, as well as indoor stuff like reading, watching TV, and playing board games. I’m married, have grown-up kids, grandkids, and a pretty good dog. You can learn more about me at groundshiftcounseling.com. I look forward to hearing from you!
