Counselor Lynne Short, LPC
Specialties: Anxiety, Depression, Child or Adolescent, Parenting, Postpartum Depression,

Introduction

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, with more than 20 years of experience in behavioral healthcare. I provide therapy for adults, adolescents and children, ages 8 and older. My specialties include treating anxiety, depression, maternal mental health, and aging related issues for adults. I have a great deal of experience working with children who are struggling with emotional regulation, separation issues, and anxiety, among other issues. I also provide coaching and consultation for parents. My style is warm, informal, and authentic. I use a variety of therapeutic techniques and collaborate with you to tailor my approach toward what will be most meaningful for you or your child. With younger children, I use Play Therapy, and with older children and adolescents, it is often a combination of play and talk therapy. My office is located in what was once a sunporch of a historic Webster house that has been converted to offices. It's a space that's both cozy and filled with light. My hope is to provide a comfortable, relaxing environment where you can be yourself as we work together to understand not only what led you here, but also your best path forward. If you think I might be a good fit for your therapy needs, but would like more information, click the Contact link at the top of the page and complete the inquiry form to request a free 15 minute phone consultation. Or if you're ready to schedule an appointment, just indicate that on your contact form, and I will be in touch with my availability. Either way. I look forward to starting our conversation together.
