Introduction

Lynnsey Renaud is a graduate student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at the University of Wisconsin–Superior, completing her clinical internship as part of her path toward becoming a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Minnesota. Her professional experience has allowed her to work with people from many different backgrounds, including individuals navigating stressful and challenging life circumstances. These experiences have strengthened her interest in mental health and her belief in looking beyond a person’s circumstances to understand the individual as a whole. Throughout her graduate education, Lynnsey has been especially interested in trauma, grief, crisis intervention, neurodiversity, and understanding how life experiences can impact mental health. She enjoys working with adolescents and adults and is particularly drawn to supporting neurodivergent individuals, and individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, stress, self-esteem concerns, and life transitions. Lynnsey’s counseling style is warm, collaborative, and client-centered. She is interested in person-centered, and trauma-informed approaches while recognizing that therapy should be individualized to each client. Lynnsey strives to create a comfortable, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and able to be themselves while working toward meaningful change.
