Welcome—I’m M. Michelle Milligan, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founder of Journey Two Serenity. For more than 25 years, I have helped adolescents, adults, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges, heal from painful experiences, and move toward greater emotional well-being. I currently provide virtual therapy to adolescents ages 15 and older and adults. My areas of specialization include anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, grief and loss, PTSD, trauma—including racial trauma—relationship and family concerns, ADHD, anger and impulsivity, occupational stress, and major life transitions. I also provide affirming and culturally responsive care to individuals from diverse backgrounds, including members of the LGBTQ+ community. My therapeutic style is compassionate, direct, supportive, and collaborative. I recognize that each person’s needs and experiences are different, so I tailor treatment using an integrative approach that may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, solution-focused interventions, humanistic approaches, and practical skill-building. Together, we will identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, build healthier coping and communication skills, and develop realistic strategies you can use in your everyday life. Therapy is a place where you deserve to feel heard, respected, and understood. Whether you are coping with trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, work-related stress, emotional distress, or an important life transition, you do not have to navigate it alone. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can heal, grow, and build a greater sense of peace and balance. I provide telehealth services to clients residing in states where I am licensed, including California, Delaware, Florida, Maryland, Nebraska, New Jersey, South Carolina, Utah, and Vermont.
