Introduction

I believe therapy can offer a meaningful opportunity to better understand yourself, navigate life's challenges, and develop greater clarity about what you need moving forward. I work with adults and adolescents experiencing mental health concerns, relationship conflicts, and life changes that feel overwhelming. Whether you know exactly what is bringing you to counseling or are not quite sure where to begin, you do not need to have everything figured out before you get here. Therapy can be a place to slow things down, explore what you are experiencing, and begin making sense of what comes next. My approach to counseling is flexible and built around you. Different people need different things from therapy, and what is helpful at one point in your life may look different at another. I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches depending on your needs and what feels most useful for the work we are doing together. We might explore where certain patterns come from, build practical tools for what you're experiencing now, make sense of difficult emotions or relationships, or simply create space to better understand yourself and what you need. My goal is for therapy to feel collaborative, genuine, and human. I also know that reaching out to a therapist can feel awkward, vulnerable, or even a little intimidating. You do not need to know exactly what to say, have the perfect explanation for why you are seeking counseling, or know what you want therapy to look like before you begin. I'm happy to start with a consultation where we can talk, answer any questions you have, and get a sense of whether we might be a good fit. Therapy is personal, and I believe finding someone you feel comfortable talking to matters. Outside of the therapy room, I'm usually happiest with a cup of coffee in hand, spending time with my husband and our little dog, or at the pottery studio. I love anything creative, being outdoors, and finding the small things that make everyday life feel a little more meaningful. I'm a big believer that therapists are humans too, and I hope to bring that same warmth, authenticity, and humanness into the relationships I build with my clients. You don't have to know exactly where therapy will take you before you begin. Sometimes figuring out what comes next is part of the work, and whenever you're ready, we can start there.
