I have had the honor of working in the care and social work industry for most of my life. I began in the medical field providing nursing assistance in various elder care facilities for six years. I then worked in mental health, social work, and program management with teens and group homes through Youth Dynamics, the LGBTQIA+ community, and The Kinship Navigator Program. During graduate school I worked with the refugee community locally through the International Rescue Committee and then worked to continue the pairing of medicine and social work in the Veterans Affairs Primary Care Mental Health Integration program. After graduate school I continued my work at the VA in Suicide Prevention Case Management and Coordination statewide, which led me to join a grief therapy group focused in group work and resources. Now, I aim to include these diverse experiences into my private practice through my specializations in grief therapy, interpersonal psychotherapies for depression and suicidality, life transitions in older age & elder care, existential concerns, art therapy, chronic illness support, LGBTQIA+ support, identity & self-esteem alignment. I do this through a compassionate based care lens with somatic inclusion, human centered therapy, systems theory, advocacy work, cultural humility, and patient centered work.
